A Job Found in a Letter

A young man had been unemployed for six months and was reaching a point of financial crisis. He had sent out hundreds of resumes but had not received a single interview request. Feeling defeated, he turned to the Rebbe for advice through the Igros Kodesh.

The letter he opened was brief. It advised the recipient to check the correspondence again and to remain diligent in their efforts. At first he thought this was general advice, but he decided to take it literally.

He went back through his emails and his physical mail. While checking his spam folder, he found an invitation to a job interview that had been sent two weeks earlier. He had never seen it, and the company had been wondering why he had not replied.

He called the company at once, explained what had happened, and was granted an interview the next day. He was offered the position, which fitted his skills well. Without the instruction to check his correspondence, he believed he would have missed it entirely.
